The Cumberland County Fair and Horse Show is held during the month of July each year in the city park. There are plenty of activities for everyone to enjoy! The city of Burkesville invites everyone to join in on the fun whether you participate in the activities or just sit back and watch the fair.
A typical schedule of events includes:
- First Saturday: ATV and Dirt Bike Rodeo and Horse Show
- First Tuesday: 4-H Exhibits
- Monday: Beauty Pageants (Little Miss & Mister) through Miss Cumberland County Fair
- Tuesday: Baby Show, Mother/Daughter, Father/Son Look-a-Like & Miss Cumberland Co Pageant
- Wednesday: Family Fun Night, Midway Amusement Rides
- Thursday: Lawnmower and Power Wheels Derby, Midway Amusement Rides
- Friday: KY Outlaw Truck Pull, Midway Amusement Rides
- Saturday: Demolition Derby and Outlaw Lawnmower Derby, Midway Amusement Rides
The Cumberland River Bluegrass Festival starts on the third Thursday in
September with some of the best Bluegrass music around. There's musical entertainment, exciting events, and activities for all ages. If you've missed
the Cumberland River Bluegrass Festival in years past, make sure and put
it on your calendar. Come and enjoy all the singing, picking and
wonderful southern cuisine.

- Thursday: Baby Show and Beauty Pageant
- Friday: Free Bluegrass Music
- Saturday: a 5K run, Health Fair, Arts and Crafts, Food, Bluegrass, a River Duck Derby, & Prizes
The Southern Kentucky Classic Softball Tournament is a men's slow pitch
softball tournament. In 1965 a team by the name of the Liberty All-Stars won the Southern Kentucky Softball Classic. Every year since, through rain or shine, Burkesville has hosted the event. "The Southern" usually falls on or near the 4th of July week/weekend.
The Steel Horse Stampede is an annual motorcycle benefit ride. All of the proceeds go to a local group called "We Care" that helps support Cumberland County cancer patients and the Cumberland County Search and Rescue Squad. After the ride, a delicious and home cooked meal is prepared by the churches of Cumberland County and made available to the riders. Aside from your tickets, don't forget to bring some extra money for the auction! The event is held every year on the 4th Sunday of September. Wear your riding gear and you will be welcome!

5:00pm-7:00pm - Karaoke on the main stage in Veteran's Park
6:30pm - Parade Line Up at CCHS
6:30pm - Bicycle Parade registration at First & Farmers National Bank
7:00pm - Veteran's Parade begins, bikes will follow from FFNB to Veteran's Park
7:00pm - 5K Run/Walk Mutt Strut registration at pavilion in Veteran's Park
7:30pm-9:30pm - Tin Sleep performs on the main stage in Veteran's Park
8:00pm - 5K Run/Walk Mutt Strut begins at Veteran's Park pavilion and continues through downtown Burkesville
